 Vaccination Policy

A large number of dogs gather together for training, allowing considerable opportunity for dog-related diseases to spread quickly. The club requires that all dogs must be vaccinated before attending any classes. For the well being of the other dogs at the club, there can be no exceptions on this matter.

In accordance with veterinary research and guidelines, NST&ODC vaccination policy is as follows:

All new members must provide one of the following forms of evidence of C5 or C6 immunity:

  • C5 or C6 vaccination

  • C3 vaccination + Canine/Kennel Cough vaccinations (Bordetella bronchiseptica + canine parainfluenza)

  • C3 titre test + Canine/Kennel Cough vaccinations (Bordetella bronchiseptica + canine parainfluenza)

NOTE: Puppies 8-16 weeks old are expected to have a C3 vaccination before joining the club. Puppies 16 weeks and older are expected to have a C5 vaccination before joining or being promoted out of puppy classes.

All evidence of immunity must be current (i.e. the next vaccination date must be in the future) and from a registered vet.

Renewals

All renewing members must provide the same evidence of immunity (photocopies will be accepted) when collecting their badge.
